Mama Africa Home of Hope foundation( MAHHF) is a community focused organisation, that supports vulnerable people especially children whom society has rejected. We reach out to children with mental or physical disabilities, street children and HIV/AIDS-positive children. ensuring they have access to education, counselling .medical care, shelter, vocational training and life skills.
Preserving Culture, Supporting Children
Mama Africa Cultural Village offers authentic cultural experiences in Kibale Forest National Park, Uganda. Founded by Akankwasa Toris, its profits support Byabasita ECD, a school for vulnerable and orphaned children. Join us and support our mission of cultural and community preservation.
HIV/AIDS Positive Children
Every day ,young lives take strong HIV drugs on empty stomach .Many of these children have no parents, living under extreme poverty ,often endure hunger alongside stigma.
Instead of care, they are branded as misfortunes, told they will die soon and denied love and opportunities .their wish is to be treated like other children -with dignity.
Children with disabilities.
In many African cultures children with
physical or mental disabilities are not seen as children but as curses and half human.
Face discrimination, violence and even face nicknames, denied education, refused health and left isolated at home while others go to school. society treats them as if they have no value- yet they too carry talents, intelligence, and potential waiting to shine if only given a chance.
Our Response
Mama Africa Home of Hope initiative exists to rewrite these painful stories. we provide a safe place, love, care, counseling and opportunities for these children access, shelter, clothing and learning.
Through our support in schools and communities, some of them are now accessing education, medical care, shelter, love in an environment where they are not judged, but celebrated.

Street Children.
Are innocent children forced into the street by pain they never chose -abandoned after pregnancies rejected through gender -based violence, neglected by stepmothers, or rapped by bad peer groups and drugs. They are not mistakes or curses ,but children longing for love ,care and a chance to dream again.
